Gold By The Lake, Brown On The Streets

Doing the same thing every day is always difficult, and being surrounded by walls is not our favourite landscape. Today we walked way out of the general area, and found even more parks which were undiscovered to us previously.

Despite my allergies, I found the wild flowers and weeds by the lakeside quite charming. Sailboats could be seen in the distance.

I was very fortunate to have brought my white Adidas sneakers, which have become a must when walking the sidewalks, through parks, and down unbeaten paths.

Before our excursion we stopped by Starbucks for another drink (the star bonus strikes again) and caught up in our college textbook readings. I really want to like marketing, but my gosh things are quite repetitive. I don’t understand how this five hundred page textbook couldn’t be condensed into fifteen pages, maximum. Ridiculous, but I digress.

I mixed a bit of casual and refined today, wearing a soft cotton shirt in grey, button to the top, with my tobacco-coloured ASOS harrington jacket. Grey tailored sweatpants from H&M rounded the look down a bit from ‘too much’. My Bench backpack in black and brown brought the colours together nicely, and made a lovely place to store my iPad, textbook, planner, and a water bottle.

Daniela looked very lovely by the lake. You can read about her view of the day here.

Living means experiencing something new every day, so keep at it everyone! I think that is something many people in college forget; leave the residence, leave buildings behind, and see what lies around you. Not everything can be found in the mall, or at the club, or for a monetary cost.
