An hour of getting ready, half an hour of lunch (pizza and Timbits, but there was Vitaminwater involved) and we were out in the beating autumnal air. My day actually started far earlier, beginning at six am as I
worked on submitted an advertising report.
Daniela thought I was kidding when I asked for a photograph of myself and this branch, but I thought it would look unapologetically hipster. Free spirit I was, romping about the forests in search of photogenic fallen leaves.
Sporting a seasonal palate of bordeaux, caramel and grey. The usual River Island, Asos, and a bit of French Connection in the form of a grey tee for extra relaxation. We looked so dapper an elderly gentleman acknowledged us and a labradoodle smiled our way. I now want both.
Just the labradoodle.
A pop into Starbucks for a salted caramel frappe, which is quite lovely. Elated I was to hear of the chestnut praline latte coming our way on November 12. Gold cards at the ready, folks. (By the way, why does it take forever and a latte to get one?)
Yes, this is in Starbucks. And you thought they weren’t authentic.
And to close, two tangents.
Personal accomplishment: almost no retouching to my face for these photographs. NeoStrata glycolic toner and Avène moisturizer, I thank you.
Failure: I made the mistake of not taking my camera today, but I was pleased with the way the photographs turned out. That was until I imported them into my laptop and noticed that half of them were 2 megapixels. How does that even happen?
Nevertheless, I am thankful for this beautiful day.
