I am of many minds when it comes to home décor. Some days I want a dusty Parisian apartment rich in antiques, and others I want everything barren and clinical. I think my obsession with being/trying everything in life is responsible for this lovely phenomenon. Luckily, no matter the style, metallics are a necessity. I stopped by CB2 on Toronto’s Queen Street to slip a few into my bedroom. Have mercy on me and my Amex, I need to be stopped before I buy every product from their holiday collection. That rose gold garland? Hold me down.
Pictured here are just a few of the things I picked up. I took an Ai Bud Vase Copper and placed a Luster Gold Ball Ornament on top to resemble an Edison light bulb. All are sitting on top of a Frank Salad Plate in white. I look forward to placing a few bits of coniferous into the vase for the winter months.
The Balance Rose Gold Letter Holder was a bit of an impulse purchase, but it looks wonderful on my desk and reminds me of Damien Hirt’s gilded golden wooly mammoth skeleton. A Marta Double Old-Fashioned glass is my new on-desk container for writing instruments.
